PU Steering Wheel Foaming Line Upgrade Case | Zhejiang, China

Project Background Located in an auto parts industrial park in Zhejiang Province, the customer is a manufacturer specializing in automobile steering wheels and interior parts, producing about 300,000 steering wheels and interior parts per year with revenue of about RMB 92 million in 2025. Challenges The original semi-automatic lines relied on manual metering and color mixing, causing a defect rate of 8%–10%, poor two-color consistency, low efficiency and safety risks that blocked high-end OEM orders. Haifeng Solution The customer adopted the Haifeng turnkey PU steering wheel foaming line, integrating an HF-HPM high-pressure foaming machine, a six-station hydraulic mold frame line, a two-pigment six-mixing-head system and an electrical safety control system. Results Output rose from 600 to 1,080 pcs/day, defect rate fell to ≤2%, manpower dropped from 12 to 4, with annual savings of about RMB 850,000 and a payback period of about 3.1 years.
