In 1986, Haifeng’s founder developed China’s first rigid polyurethane foam spray-filling machine. Although an earlier predecessor, Wenzhou Jierbeng Factory, had entered the polyurethane equipment field in 1978, the founding of Dongfeng Plastic Machinery Factory in 1986 established the clear starting point for Haifeng’s technical heritage.

From 1986 to 2001, Haifeng accumulated technical expertise and business experience over 15 years. During this period, the company continued to develop equipment for polyurethane foaming and sole molding, making progress in key areas including continuous foaming processes, electrical control systems and dispensing-head structures. It also established its own CNC machining center and quality system. These early independent development and manufacturing practices laid a solid foundation for the later transition to automated equipment and complete production-line solutions.
For four decades, Haifeng has developed and manufactured equipment for a wide range of polyurethane applications, including footwear, foaming, spraying, rigid foam, flexible foam and sandwich panels. By 2025, the company had accumulated 51 patents. From individual machines in its early years to today’s intelligent automation equipment and complete-plant solutions, Haifeng has become a provider of integrated solutions for polyurethane industrialization, digitalization and process innovation. This continuity comes from nearly 40 years of uninterrupted independent development and process improvement. Since 1986, this technical heritage has run through every generation of products and manufacturing.
