The supplied brief describes the following project context.

A premier global water health and smart appliance manufacturing brand in Guangdong deployed Haifeng’s compact explosion-proof polyurethane foaming cell. The installation was commissioned to automate the insulation encapsulation of 1.5-liter stainless steel heating boilers for smart tea dispensers and espresso machines.

Prior to the overhaul, the facility relied on manual bucket-pouring tables. This labor-intensive setup was capped at an inefficient 30 pieces/hour and exhibited wide shot-weight variations (±8 g), producing flash and uneven insulation thicknesses. Interfacial air gaps caused severe standby thermal radiation that heated internal electronics and elevated 24-hour electric consumption, not meeting the submitted energy target; regulatory applicability and any compliance records require separate verification.

Haifeng deployed a space-saving automated foaming cell centered on the HF-SML50-EXP workstation. Integrating a self-contained 2m x 2m enclosed workstation with a safety-documentation scope to be verified, micro-flow impingement dispensing (100 g/s), and a 4-station pneumatic rotary indexing fixture, the line elevated hourly throughput four-fold to 120 pieces/hour while reducing appliance standby heat loss by 18%.

Review point: Two curing positions at a 30-second index provide 60 seconds, not 90 seconds. Four total positions may provide at most 90 seconds between injection and removal only if the actual sequence supports it; verify station timing. A rated enclosure does not eliminate site safety engineering or prove ATEX compliance.

Solutions Delivery

Reported equipment configuration from the supplied brief:

Haifeng engineered a compact, modular foaming cell requiring installation-specific hydrocarbon safety engineering. The entire process is enclosed inside a self-contained 2m x 2m soundproof booth equipped with dedicated 1,500 m³/h forced-draft ventilation and continuous catalytic LEL gas sensors.

An operator loads bare stainless steel boilers into Station 1 of a four-position pneumatic rotary turntable. The table indexes into Station 2, where an automated miniature high-pressure mixing head docks onto the tooling port. The machine dispenses an exact 115-gram shot of cyclopentane-polyurethane at 16.0 MPa in 1.1 seconds with shot repeatability held within ±0.2 grams.

Stations 2 and 3 provide 90 seconds of in-mold dwell time under electric platen heating (50°C), curing the foam into a seamless 20 mm shell around the boiler. At Station 4, pneumatic toggles release the molds, and the insulated vessel is automatically ejected onto a takeaway tray at a rapid 30-second tact time. The seamless wrap eliminates all thermal gaps, preventing boiler heat loss from elevating interior electronic temperatures.

Two curing positions at a 30-second index provide 60 seconds, not 90 seconds. Four total positions may provide at most 90 seconds between injection and removal only if the actual sequence supports it; verify station timing. A rated enclosure does not eliminate site safety engineering or prove ATEX compliance.

Reported Results — Records Pending Verification

120 pcs/h
Production Throughput Rate
Reported output 122 pcs/h versus 30 pcs/h from 15 days of production. Indexing sequence and 90-second cure residence require reconciliation before confirming sustainable capacity.
18%
Standby Electric Loss Reduction
Reported energy reduction 18.2% versus 0.95 kWh/24 h at 95°C water temperature and 25°C ambient. Finished-appliance setup and original results require review; this does not establish ErP certification.
± 0.2 g
Shot Weight Dispensing Accuracy
Reported ±0.18 g on 60 sampled shots, summarized as ±0.2 g. The brief varies between 115 g and 120 g shot references; distinguish ratio accuracy from total shot repeatability.
