The supplied brief describes the following project context.
A top-tier global household appliance conglomerate in Anhui deployed Haifeng’s eight-station vertical rotary door foaming line across its mega-scale smart refrigerator production campus. The project was commissioned to supply ultra-thin, high-flatness doors for a flagship series of premium four-door French-style inverter refrigerators.
Prior to this installation, the factory operated horizontal track floor carousels occupying over 550 m² of prime cleanroom space. With single-door tact times stalled at 42 seconds, door production severely lagged behind 20-second sheet metal stamping and cabinet foaming lines, creating chronic assembly bottlenecks. Furthermore, temperature gradients across large ground tools produced localized density variations, causing aesthetic surface ripples and edge flaring on pre-painted metal door skins.
Haifeng engineered a high-density vertical production cell centered on the HF-DRC08-ROT platform. By indexing eight mold fixtures around a compact vertical rotary drum coupled with robotic sheet loading, the line achieved an 18-second single-door tact time while cutting plant footprint by over 60%, delivering mirror-flat door aesthetics with density variations within ±0.8 kg/m³.
Review point: A 1.4 kg shot in 2.4 s implies 35 kg/min, below the supplied 60–180 kg/min range. Five curing index positions at 18 s give 90 s, not the claimed 140 s; confirm station count and residence. The 18×12 m footprint is 216 m², whereas the summary rounds to 220 m².
Solutions Delivery
Reported equipment configuration from the supplied brief:
Haifeng engineered an automated vertical rotary manufacturing cell integrated directly into the stamping outfeed conveyor. Six-axis articulated robots load outer decorative steel panels and thermoformed door liners into open horizontal platens at Station 1, using pneumatic vacuum cups to eliminate panel shifting.
At Station 2, an overhead servo pouring carriage guides a high-pressure impingement mixing head, injecting 1.4 kg of fast-reacting cyclopentane-polyurethane formulation at 16.5 MPa in just 2.4 seconds. The hydraulic toggle clamps lock the tool under 300 kN force within 3.0 seconds.
The drum indices vertically through Stations 3 to 7, curing the foam over 140 seconds. Precision tempered water (50°C ± 0.5°C) is piped through central rotary unions to internal tool channels, maintaining uniform crosslinking. At Station 8, the mold unlocks automatically, and an offloading robot transfers the demolded door to the assembly line every 18 seconds, achieving controlled surface flatness and tight foam adhesion.
A 1.4 kg shot in 2.4 s implies 35 kg/min, below the supplied 60–180 kg/min range. Five curing index positions at 18 s give 90 s, not the claimed 140 s; confirm station count and residence. The 18×12 m footprint is 216 m², whereas the summary rounds to 220 m².
