A leading national port heavy machinery and container equipment giant in Jiangsu deployed Haifeng’s ultrasonic dispersion self-lubricating MC nylon casting unit. The project was commissioned to manufacture maintenance requirements to be confirmed, self-lubricating split bearings and pivot bushings (Ø 450 mm inner diameter, 40 mm wall thickness) for massive railcar rotary dumpers operating at ocean coal terminals.
Previously, the dumper utilized graphite-plugged cast bronze bushings. In coal terminal environments, airborne coal dust mixed with external lubricating grease to form an abrasive slurry that rapidly scored steel pin shafts, causing seizure after only 1,500 to 2,000 operating hours. Maintenance crews faced dangerous, labor-intensive greasing intervals, and frequent unscheduled bushing replacements cost millions in demurrage charges during peak ship-loading seasons.
Haifeng engineered a specialized self-lubricating casting cell centered on the HF-MCN180-LUB system. Utilizing 20 kHz ultrasonic cavitation and high-velocity anti-settling circulation, the line produced homogeneous MoS₂ and oil-modified MC nylon bushings. The finished components dropped the dry friction coefficient to 0.08, operating over 8,000 hours without grease replenishment with radial wear held below 0.08 mm.
Review point: Dry-friction coefficient, wear and grease-free life depend on specimen, load, speed and counterface. The reported 12-month/8,000-hour field run is not supported by the supplied implementation dates and March 2026 report without an earlier trial history. Powder suspension and additive compatibility require formulation trials.

Solutions Delivery
Configuration reported in the supplied brief.
Haifeng engineered an automated self-lubricating monomer casting cell optimized for high-density powder suspensions. Caprolactam monomer is dried at 135°C under 0.01 kPa vacuum inside a 200 L vessel, where 3.5 wt% sub-micron MoS₂ and 3.0 wt% synthetic silicone lubricants are introduced.
A high-power 20 kHz ultrasonic cavitation horn breaks mineral particle clumps, while a helical ribbon agitator maintains a uniform suspension at 135°C. To prevent settling during standbys, the fluid recirculates continuously through ceramic-lined lines at 1.8 m/s.
Ceramic-lined positive displacement pumps meter Streams A and B into a dynamic mixing head running at 3,200 RPM with a tungsten-carbide rotor. The stream dispenses 35 kg of reactive mixture into preheated semi-circular bushing molds (165°C) within 40 seconds. Anionic polymerization locks MoS₂ platelets and micro-oil droplets uniformly into the crystalline PA6 matrix without settling. Parts cure in 15 minutes, followed by 150°C oil-bath stress annealing to prevent post-machining shrinkage.
Dry-friction coefficient, wear and grease-free life depend on specimen, load, speed and counterface. The reported 12-month/8,000-hour field run is not supported by the supplied implementation dates and March 2026 report without an earlier trial history. Powder suspension and additive compatibility require formulation trials.
