Haifeng successfully engineered and commissioned a flexible discontinuous polyurethane sandwich panel line for a major commercial refrigeration contractor in Argentina, specializing in customized walk-in cold rooms and refrigerated display enclosures. The turnkey system includes a high-pressure PU dosing unit, a 2+2 multi-daylight 6.5m hydraulic press, and precision magnetic positioning fixtures for eccentric cam-locks.
Prior to commissioning, the manufacturer assembled custom walk-in freezer panels using labor-intensive single wooden molds. This legacy method caused chemical leakage into the eccentric cam-locks, preventing proper on-site latching, while platen heat fluctuations resulted in severe surface sink marks. The customer required an industrial hydraulic press workcell capable of maintaining platen temperatures at 55°C, holding 100mm to 150mm panel thicknesses securely against foaming expansion, and locking magnetic cam-locks in precise coordinates.
Operational since May 2023 on a two-shift daily schedule across a compact 450 m² footprint, the workcell delivers consistent component repeatability. By implementing Haifeng's 2+2 alternating daylight cycle and high-pressure closed-loop injection, the client produces custom walk-in cold storage panels with cam-lock engagement checks that reduce customer job-site installation times by 50%.
Project Technical Specification Matrix:

Planning a related production line
For a new cold-chain project, distinguish factory-made panel production from on-site insulation spraying. Confirm the material system, envelope or panel design, production/installation target and acceptance conditions before transferring any project setting.
Production brief for technical discussion
Provide a finished-product drawing or sample, material data, target output, automation needs and factory conditions. Haifeng will review the process, equipment interfaces and acceptance plan for your own production goals.
Area output per shift is a supplied project reference. Effective width, shift duration, running time, changeovers and accepted-panel yield must be specified before deriving or comparing area capacity.

Solutions Delivery
Haifeng deployed a high-flexibility discontinuous polyurethane sandwich panel manufacturing system engineered for customized walk-in cold rooms and special insulated container doors:
1. Precision Magnetic Cam-Lock Positioning: Customized jig bars equipped with permanent magnetic locators hold male and female eccentric cam-locks firmly inside the mold perimeter prior to injection.
2. High-Pressure Precision Dosing & Injection: A high-pressure PU dosing unit injects liquid precursors directly through mold perimeter injection ports using self-cleaning mixing heads, filling wide-span cavities evenly.
3. 2+2 Multi-Daylight Hydraulic Pressing: A 6.5-meter multi-daylight hydraulic press alternates between pressing and curing beds, enabling operators to load/unload one daylight while the opposite bed undergoes pressurized foam curing.
4. Dynamic Oil Heating Temperature Control: High-capacity TCU skids circulate heated oil through internal press platens, maintaining 50°C–60°C across the mold bed to accelerate curing and prevent foam sink marks.
| Equipment | Model | Qty | Function |
