Haifeng successfully engineered and commissioned an automated multi-stream dual-hardness polyurethane seat foaming line for a premier Chinese automotive seating supplier, achieving 70% ball rebound resilience while stabilizing production cycles down to 180 seconds. The turnkey delivery encompassed high-pressure multi-component metering units, dynamic color and catalyst dosing injectors, a 6-axis robotic pouring station, and synchronization with a 24-station automated mold carousel.
Prior to commissioning, the manufacturer assembled dual-hardness sport seats by manually gluing separate high-density foam bolsters to soft center pads. This legacy method caused high labor overhead, uneven glue ridges that compromised ergonomic comfort, and VOC odor complaints from vehicle assemblers. The customer required an automated multi-stream high-pressure dispensing solution capable of executing continuous in-mold recipe transitions between soft center zones and firm side bolsters in a single shot.
Operating since July 2025 on a continuous two-shift production schedule across a 450 m² carousel footprint, the installation ensures uninterrupted seating output. By implementing Haifeng's closed-loop Ratio Lock flow algorithms and dynamic multi-stream impingement mixing, the client consistently manufactures monolithic dual-hardness cushions complying with strict OEM comfort and emission mandates.

Solutions Delivery
Haifeng deployed a multi-stream high-pressure foaming platform optimized for flexible high-resilience seating formulations:
1. Multi-Stream Dynamic Ratio Lock: Independent servo displacement pumps meter soft-polyol, hard-polyol, and isocyanate streams, executing millisecond recipe transitions with ±0.5% stoichiometric precision.
2. 6-Axis Robotic Trajectory Dispensing: A robot-guided mixing head executes programmed variable-speed pouring, depositing firm foam in the side bolsters and soft foam in the center cushion without splashing.
3. Triple-Circuit Thermal Balancing: Multi-zone TCU units stabilize chemical stream temperatures within ±0.5°C, ensuring uniform foaming height across the entire mold platen.
4. Automated Mechanical Cell Crushing: Cured cushions pass directly into inline roller-crushers, breaking micro-cell membranes to attain immediate elastic resilience.
