Headrest PIP Foaming Line Upgrade in Anhui
Project Background Located in an auto parts industrial park in Anhui Province, the customer is a manufacturer specializing in automobile headrests, producing about 700,000 headrest foamed parts per year with revenue of about RMB 150 million in 2025. Challenges Manual small-shot injection caused density fluctuation of ±8%, a defect rate of 6%–10% and frequent pressure build-up and dripping. Haifeng Solution The customer adopted the Haifeng turnkey headrest PIP foaming line, integrating an HF-HPM high-pressure foaming machine, a mixing head and a 12-station turntable line. Results Per-line capacity rose about 50%, density fluctuation fell to ≤±3%, defect rate to ≤2%, manpower dropped from 20 to 10, with annual savings of about RMB 1.14 million and a payback period of about 3.3 years.
