Haifeng successfully engineered and commissioned an automated 24-station flame-retardant molded polyurethane seating line for a premier commercial auditorium and cinema seating manufacturer in Kazakhstan, achieving certified compliance with British Standard BS 5852 Crib 5 fire safety standards. The turnkey project covered the complete delivery of high-pressure multi-stream dosing machinery with flame-retardant slurry recirculation, an automated mold carousel, robotic trajectory pouring, and vacuum de-gassing systems.

Prior to commissioning, the manufacturer experienced severe quality rejections during commercial fire safety audits. Legacy low-pressure machines allowed dense flame-retardant powder additives to settle in chemical tanks, causing erratic isocyanate index shifts and leaving seats susceptible to localized combustion. The client required an advanced high-pressure dispensing setup featuring continuous magnetic-drive recirculation, high-accuracy closed-loop Ratio Lock flow regulation, and uniform mold temperature conditioning to ensure homogenous fire retardant dispersion.

Operating since June 2022 on a two-shift daily schedule across a 550 m² facility, the production plant outputs over 2,000 heavy commercial theater seating cushions daily. By deploying Haifeng's slurry-handling high-pressure technology and synchronized carousel automation, the client reliably manufactures luxury, fire-safe public seating complying with strict international fire codes.

Haifeng deployed a heavy-duty molded foam workcell optimized for high-viscosity, flame-retardant flexible polyurethane formulations:

1. Slurry Recirculation Metering Skid: Heavy-duty axial piston pumps equipped with hardened carbide internals circulate polyols containing liquid and solid flame retardants at 180 bar without settling.
2. Robotic Pouring & Needle Shut-Off: A 6-axis robot guides an L-shaped impingement mixing head, executing rapid 0.3s anti-drip needle shut-offs over heavy steel-insert theater molds.
3. 24-Station Multi-Cavity Carousel: A continuous turntable conveyor with water-jacketed tooling holds mold temperatures steady at 62°C (±0.8°C), ensuring rapid, complete exothermic polymerization.
4. Mechanical Vacuum-Assisted Crusher: Freshly demolded heavy cinema cushions pass through an integrated multi-roller crusher, fully rupturing closed cell membranes to restore bounce.
