The 38th China International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (CHINAPLAS 2026) opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from April 21 to 24. Focusing on four core areas—circular economy, digitalization, innovative materials and advanced technology—the show brought together companies from around the world to present the latest trends and solutions in the plastics and rubber industries.
While many exhibitors showcased new materials and processes in the spotlight, we are especially interested in the equipment and process support needed to take these innovations from the laboratory into industrial production.
Today, we share our technical experience and practical knowledge from the perspective of polyurethane applications and core processes.

Transformation · Collaboration · Shaping a Sustainable Future
01. Polyurethane applications enter a stage of deeper industrial adoption
The range of polyurethane applications continues to expand. Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which does not require vulcanization and can be recycled, is widely used in footwear materials, cables, films and automotive components. Millable polyurethane (MPU), with its excellent abrasion resistance, stability across a wide temperature range and strong mechanical properties, offers distinct advantages in mining machinery, defense equipment and tire manufacturing.
Liquid-rubber technologies are also expanding polyurethane applications in adhesives, specialty coatings, encapsulation materials and other areas.
Ultimately, the value of material innovation depends on stable, reliable industrial equipment to carry it into production.
Our core strengths in polyurethane equipment focus on three key areas:
1. Fluid-transfer and control capability. Polyurethane production uses liquid raw materials with significantly different viscosities. Stable fluid transfer directly affects the uniformity of the reaction system. Our accumulated technical experience helps maintain stable flow without pulsation or impact during pipeline transfer.
2. Precision in low-volume proportioning. Polyurethane performance depends heavily on accurate stoichiometric ratios among components, especially when adding small quantities of additives and catalysts. Our metering systems provide precise low-volume control and help ensure accurate formulation from the outset.
3. Long-term system stability. Industrial production makes rigorous demands on continuous operation. Equipment design accounts for the reliability needed over long production cycles, and key components receive specialized treatment to reduce failure rates and maintenance frequency. This helps provide customers with sustained, stable production capacity. Together, these three strengths form the technical foundation of our polyurethane equipment and give us confidence in providing reliable process support for material innovation.

02. End-to-end polyurethane equipment solutions
· Fine-chemical laboratory machines: Efficient tools for R&D
The laboratory stage is essential when taking a new material from formulation validation to industrial production. Fine-chemical laboratory machines play a central role in technical validation at this stage.
Our small-scale laboratory equipment supports formulation trials and small-batch testing during R&D. Its key strengths are accurate metering and easy operation, helping customers obtain process parameters for subsequent scale-up while using relatively small quantities of raw material.
· TPU dispensing production lines: Core equipment for continuous manufacturing
TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) dispensing production lines are key equipment for continuous, large-scale polyurethane production. The line covers the full process, including raw-material pretreatment, precision metering, mixing and casting, reactive extrusion and pelletizing.
The system covers the main stages of material metering, mixing, casting and forming. High-precision metering equipment and a centralized control system allow us to manage component ratios and reaction temperatures accurately, helping maintain consistent product quality from batch to batch.

Equipment capabilities focused on polyurethane innovation
From formulation R&D on fine-chemical laboratory machines to continuous manufacturing on TPU dispensing lines, we have built core equipment solutions that support polyurethane materials from development through mass production.
The spotlight of an industry exhibition eventually fades, but technical innovation and industrial upgrading continue. As the plastics and rubber industries move toward intelligent, greener and more advanced production, reliable equipment remains a fundamental requirement. We will continue to apply our technical expertise and deliver stable, high-quality products to provide valuable process solutions for industry partners.
