Starting with the technical roots of Dongfeng Plastic Machinery Factory, founded in 1986, Haifeng spent four decades growing from individual machines to complete-line solutions and from serving domestic customers to serving global markets. In 1987, Haifeng’s founder developed China’s first polyurethane continuous foaming machine and sole molding machine, filling a gap in the industry. In 1995, China’s first polyurethane foaming machine using combined inverter and microcontroller control was completed. The following year, Haifeng developed its first generation of needle-valve polyurethane dispensing heads and obtained a patent. In 1999, the company established an in-house CNC machining center and an ISO 9001 quality system. In 2000, the first polyurethane testing machine configured with a servo motor and microcontroller was delivered to Huafon Group. In 2002, the second generation of needle-valve polyurethane dispensing heads was developed and patented. In 2011, Haifeng developed China’s first servo- and PLC-controlled polyurethane casting and foaming machine. The company developed polyurethane external color chips in 2014 and introduced an IoT remote module in 2019, beginning the connected-equipment era.
