A premier industrial refrigeration engineering group in Northeast China deployed Haifeng’s complete 42-meter continuous double-belt PIR sandwich panel production line. The project was commissioned to supply high-performance thermal insulation wall and ceiling panels for a new 50,000-ton national cold chain logistics storage hub.

Prior to the deployment, the customer manufactured cold room panels using discontinuous stationary hydraulic presses. This legacy process was bottlenecked at less than 600 m² per shift and suffered from internal cracking in panels exceeding 150 mm thickness due to uneven exothermic reaction kinetics. Dimensional variance in the manual tongue-and-groove joints frequently created thermal bridges, leading to frost accumulation inside the client's cold storage facilities.

Haifeng engineered and delivered an automated continuous production line centered on the HF-PIR42-CB continuous double-belt laminator. Featuring six-component high-pressure dosing and precision steel slat heating, the line produces configured panels up to 200 mm in thickness with high dimensional repeatability and a reported B1 panel classification.

Area output per shift is a supplied project reference. Effective width, shift duration, running time, changeovers and accepted-panel yield must be specified before deriving or comparing area capacity.

Haifeng engineered and installed an end-to-end continuous automated production facility spanning 95 meters in total length. The line starts with two continuous uncoilers feeding upper and lower 0.6 mm pre-painted steel sheets into multi-station roll-forming mills, shaping protective ribs and precision tongue-and-groove edges.

Raw chemicals are conditioned in a dedicated six-component high-pressure metering station. Axial piston pumps measure polyol, isocyanate, two catalysts, flame retardant, and blowing agent independently, maintaining high isocyanate index ratios (Index 280) with dynamic mass-flow accuracy within ±0.3%.

The mixed reactive liquid is distributed across the moving steel facing via a high-speed servo oscillating boom sweeping at 110 cycles per minute. The sandwich enters the 42-meter double-belt laminator, where hydraulic counter-pressure and zoned heat (55°C) ensure uniform expansion and controlled core bonding over a sustained dwell time.

At the laminator exit, a synchronized high-speed flying cross-cut saw cuts continuous panels into lengths up to 16 meters without reducing line velocity, followed by automated vacuum handling, cooling rack aging, and plastic film packaging.
