Haifeng successfully engineered and deployed a high-pressure mobile spray polyurethane foam (SPF) roofing system for a major metallurgical industrial facility in Russia, completely eliminating winter ceiling condensation drips across a 45,000 m² plant envelope while reducing facility heating fuel consumption by 35%. The project encompassed a heavy-duty hydraulic proportioning unit, 90 meters of heated high-pressure delivery hose, dual pneumatic feed pumps, and specialized impingement spray guns.

Prior to the retrofit, the client’s single-skin uninsulated corrugated metal roof suffered from severe interior condensation during sub-zero Russian winters (-35°C). Freezing thermal bridging caused condensation to rain down onto sensitive CNC milling machinery and raw steel coils, ruining inventory and creating floor safety hazards. The client required a high-performance in-situ mobile spray foam system capable of atomizing fast-curing polyurethane formulations in variable ambient temperatures, locking the stoichiometric ratio at 1:1, and applying a monolithic 50mm insulating barrier directly over corrugated roof ribs.

Operating during the dry summer season, the equipment achieved daily application rates exceeding 1,200 m² per shift. By deploying Haifeng's Ratio Lock hydraulic displacement pumps and heated fluid lines, the contractor applied an airtight, seamless rigid foam shell that completely halts ceiling frost formation and withstands heavy Siberian snow loads.

Solutions Delivery

Haifeng deployed a high-pressure mobile spray platform engineered for high-altitude roof deck applications:

1. Hydraulic Ratio Lock Proportioning: High-pressure hydraulic cylinder drive maintains balanced 1:1 chemical delivery at 160 bar, preventing ratio drift in fluctuating mountain winds.
2. Extended 90m Heated Delivery Hoses: Multi-zone insulated hose line maintains precursor liquid temperatures at 55°C all the way from ground-level chemical drums to high plant roofs.
3. Airless Impingement Spray Gun: An ergonomic impingement gun atomizes chemicals into a wide, uniform fan pattern, solidifying into hard closed-cell foam in 5 seconds without overspray drift.
4. Protective Acrylic Topcoat System: Once cured, an elastomeric UV-resistant acrylic topcoat was applied over the foam blanket to provide weather and mechanical protection.

Installation and commissioning: 14 days. Operator training: 3 days. Machine warranty: 1 year. Long-term spare parts and remote equipment support are available.
