Haifeng successfully engineered and commissioned a high-rise exterior wall polyurethane spray insulation system for a premier commercial general contractor in Brazil, delivering an exceptional 0.35 MPa tensile bond adhesion strength across 28,000 m² of curtain wall facades. The turnkey delivery encompassed a high-pressure hydraulic proportioning machine, 75 meters of multi-zone heated hose, pneumatic transfer pumps, and specialized wind-resistant airless spray guns.

Prior to commissioning, the project engineers raised safety concerns regarding traditional mechanically anchored insulation boards on the 28-story twin towers. Strong coastal wind gusts generated high negative wind suction (up to 3.2 kN/m²), threatening to shear mechanical plastic dowels and detach insulation boards into the busy street below. The client required an in-situ chemical spray application system capable of atomizing fast-curing closed-cell polyurethane directly onto structural concrete spandrels, locking stoichiometric accuracy at 1:1, and chemically fusing to the substrate with zero void gaps.

Operating from motorized scaffolding cradles, the contractor's teams applied up to 800 m² daily. By deploying Haifeng's closed-loop hydraulic proportioning and heated delivery lines, the contractor applied an continuous thermal insulation layer that completely eliminates negative wind suction hazards and reduces tower HVAC operational costs by 30%.

Solutions Delivery

Haifeng deployed a high-pressure mobile spray platform engineered for vertical facade application:

1. Hydraulic Ratio Lock Proportioning: Heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders deliver chemicals at 165 bar, preventing fluid pressure imbalances even during vertical hose flexing.
2. Multi-Zone Heated Hose Delivery: Insulated delivery hoses maintain chemical temperatures at 50°C (±1.0°C) across vertical elevations up to 75 meters.
3. Wind-Shielded Airless Spray Guns: Impingement spray guns equipped with specialized wind-shrouds minimize chemical overspray drift during breezy high-rise operations.
4. Direct Chemical Adhesion: Liquid precursors penetrate concrete pore networks before expanding, creating a monolithic mechanical and chemical bond with 0.35 MPa tensile strength.

Installation and commissioning: 14 days. Operator training: 3 days. Machine warranty: 1 year. Long-term spare parts and remote equipment support are available.
