Haifeng successfully engineered and commissioned a heavy-duty agricultural trailer polyurethane wheel production workcell for a major farm equipment builder in Brazil, achieving a certified 4,000 kg single-wheel load rating while completely eliminating harvesting tire blowouts. The turnkey project covered the complete delivery of high-output dual-component high-pressure metering units, heavy hydraulic multi-segment mold presses, dynamic mold oil heating systems, and automated rim preheating stations.

Prior to commissioning, agricultural contractors transporting harvested sugarcane and soybeans suffered catastrophic tire failures. Razor-sharp cane stalks and rocky unpaved plantation roads sliced pneumatic trailer tires under 30-ton gross trailer weights, causing trailer jackknifing and costly logistics standstills during the short harvest window. The client required an industrial chemical molding solution capable of casting heavy microcellular polyurethane elastomer treads directly onto reinforced 8-bolt welded steel rims, delivering a solid puncture-proof structure capable of sustaining severe dynamic shock loading without de-bonding.

Operating since March 2021 on a two-shift daily schedule across a 420 m² workshop, the workcell delivers consistent component repeatability. By implementing Haifeng's closed-loop Ratio Lock flow algorithms and high-tonnage hydraulic mold clamping, the client reliably manufactures ultra-rugged, blowout-free farm trailer wheels complying with strict agricultural transport safety regulations.

Project Technical Specification Matrix:

Haifeng deployed a high-capacity reaction injection tire molding platform engineered for thick, heavy-load agricultural wheel assemblies:

1. Rim Grit-Blasting & Induction Preheating: Heavy welded steel rims are blasted to Sa 2.5 and induction-heated to 65°C, ensuring complete interfacial crosslinking with the curing polyurethane.
2. High-Output Stoichiometric Dosing: Heavy-duty axial displacement pumps meter tough polyurethane precursors at up to 60 kg/min with ±0.5% precision, injecting a 28kg tire body in 4 seconds.
3. Heavy Hydraulic Segmented Clamping: Hydraulic presses clamp 6-segment mold tooling firmly against heavy expansion pressures, holding dimensions true across deep agricultural tread ribs.
4. Dynamic Oil Temperature Balancing: Multi-zone TCU skids circulate heated oil through the mold jackets at 65°C (±0.8°C), ensuring uniform crosslinking through the 120mm solid elastomeric core.
